Danish pump producer Svanehøj has launched its newly developed environmentally friendly Flow Control system, which automates the management of electrical cargo pumps on tankers.
The launch of the newly developed software-based control system follows a profitable check in collaboration with the Swedish transport company Furetank on the P&C tanker Fure Ven. The 18,000 DWT vessel was inbuilt 2019 as considered one of Furetank’s V-Series, a brand new generation of climate-smart P&C tankers.
Svanehøj’s system makes it quicker, simpler, and extra efficient to operate electric cargo pumps. It ensures an optimum changeover between tanks and pumps in parallel, decreasing the time needed for cargo discharge by up to 20% because the system will automatically operate at the optimal obligation point. It allows the operator to take full control of the pumps, simplifying the complete cargo discharge operation without installing any additional hardware.
เครื่องมือที่ใช้วัดความดันเลือด is among the first vessels at Furetank to have electric cargo pumps put in. The company has recorded a 25% reduction in power and gas consumption in relation to cargo discharge operations in comparability with vessels in the fleet that have hydraulic pumps.
