Waukesha Bearings celebrates plant’s 50th anniversary

Founded in Waukesha, Wisconsin in 1946, Waukesha Bearings opened its Antigo manufacturing facility in May 1972, with a workers of 3 full-time workers. In 2019, the plant expanded to 100,000 sq ft of producing area and now employs 120 individuals. The manufacturing area was added to accommodate manufacturing for marine bearing techniques and different new projects awarded to the corporate.
“We are proud of our success and progress to turn out to be a supplier of precision bearings to some of the largest multi-national firms from our small-town, Northern Wisconsin location,” stated Mark Greenlund, plant supervisor.
To celebrate the 50-year milestone, the company is planning an event at the facility for workers and increasing its outreach to the group to teach them on the profession alternatives available on the site. “We are looking for people within the Antigo group who want to be part of the following 50 years of success at Waukesha Bearings,” said Greenlund.
The Antigo plant is the largest of four Waukesha Bearings manufacturing sites and is supported by engineers in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Waukesha Bearings additionally has manufacturing facilities within the UK, China and Mexico.
