KSB Group has won a contract to deliver 14 massive submersible motor pumps for flood control in Paraguay.

diaphragm seal will equip numerous pumping stations belonging to the “Costanera de Pilar y control de inundaciones” venture. They will be used to prevent future flooding through the high-water season along the tributaries of the Río Paraguay.
The metropolis of Pilar is positioned 230 km south-west of Paraguay’s capital Asunción, on the Argentinian border.
Each of the Amacan submersible motor pumps weighs six tonnes and is pushed by a 370 kW, 380 volt motor. diaphragm seal of each axial flow pump set is about 18 000 cubic metres per hour.
The pump sets are anticipated to be delivered by the tip of this 12 months.
