Danish marine pump specialist Svanehøj has gained an order from China’s Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding to provide fuel pump techniques for 15 new construct dual-fuel LNG container vessels (7000 TEU).

The 30 deepwell fuel pumps shall be delivered between August 2022 and January 2024.
ไดอะแฟรม is one of Svanehøj’s largest LNG fuel-related orders thus far. It is also the second LNG gasoline pump techniques order that Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding has positioned with Svanehøj within the last 12 months. In July 2021, Svanehøj signed a contract to offer deepwell pumps for 10 dual-fuel LNG container vessels (15 000 TEU).
Svanehøj quadrupled gross sales of its patented deepwell fuel pumps in 2021, and says there are tons of indications that gross sales may improve even additional in 2022.
“Until a few years ago, using LNG as a marine fuel was restricted to LNG carriers and smaller ships. But we are now seeing a pointy enhance in fuel pump orders for deep sea vessels similar to container ships and car carriers,” said Johnny Houmann, chief sales officer at Svanehøj. “We had been chosen because the supplier of gas pump methods for over 50% of the dual-fuel LNG container vessels ordered globally in 2020–21. And we goal to increase our market share additional in the coming years.”
